Mission logs
A fictional exercise in telemetry review, anomaly tracking, and documented operational handover.

GEO-SYNC 7 is a fictional training scenario used to rehearse mission reporting and team handover. This illustrative report describes a proposed exercise, not an actual spacecraft launch, deployment, or operational result. Its purpose is to practise how an incoming team would understand the available evidence, unresolved questions, and next actions.
The exercise would give participants a synthetic telemetry file, a sample event log, and a checklist containing deliberate gaps. An outgoing operator would prepare a short handover note. An incoming operator would then use that note to identify which information is verified, which is assumed, and which still needs clarification.
A useful note would pair every status statement with its timestamp and supporting record. Instead of writing that everything looks normal, the operator would name the check performed and describe its limits. If a telemetry value falls outside the exercise’s stated reference range, the note would preserve the observation and assign a follow-up action rather than invent an explanation.
The incoming operator would repeat the priority actions in their own words and confirm who owns each unresolved item. The facilitator could then compare this understanding with the synthetic records and discuss any information lost during the handover.
The exercise’s final document would contain the scenario assumptions, references to the sample files, open questions, responsible roles, and review points. Success would mean a clear, auditable handover within the rehearsal—not a claim about the performance or readiness of a real mission.
